Review invites for WooCommerce

When an order is completed, KudoAsk sends the customer one short email from your store asking for a review, with one button to your Google review page. Every customer is asked the same way.

What it does

• One email per order, after a delay you choose. Three days after the order is completed by default, so the customer has had time to use what they bought.
• Runs in the background. Invites are queued with WooCommerce's Action Scheduler, so checkout and the order screen are never slowed down.
• Order notes. Each order gets a note saying whether an invite was queued, or why not (asked recently, unsubscribed).
• Never twice. Re-saving or re-completing an order doesn't send a second invite, and each customer is asked at most once in 180 days.
• Works with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

Set it up

1. Install KudoAsk Review Invites for WooCommerce and activate it. WooCommerce must be active. The plugin is in review at the WordPress.org plugin directory, and this page will link to it once it's listed.
2. Sign in to KudoAsk (free) and add your business name, your Google review link and your postal address.
3. In the KudoAsk dashboard, under API keys, create a key.
4. In WordPress, go to WooCommerce > KudoAsk, paste the key, save, and click Test connection.

What the plugin sends to KudoAsk

When an order reaches the status you chose (Completed by default), the plugin sends KudoAsk the customer's billing email, billing first name and order number, with your API key. KudoAsk queues one invite and deletes the email address once the invite is sent or skipped. "Test connection" sends only your API key. Built to follow the review rules

• Ask everyone. There's no "were you happy?" screen that only sends happy customers to Google. Google's policy forbids selectively asking for positive reviews.
• No rewards. KudoAsk refuses messages that offer discounts or gifts for reviews.
• Easy to opt out. Unsubscribing takes one click, and bounces and spam complaints are honoured automatically.
