Your Google review link
The direct link opens the "write a review" box for your business, so customers don't have to search for you on Maps first. Here's where to get it, and a checker to make sure it's the right one.
1. Copy it from your Business Profile
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your business, then search for your business name on Google. Your Business Profile controls appear at the top.
- Choose Read reviews (or Reviews), then Get more reviews.
- Copy the link Google shows. It usually looks like
https://g.page/r/…/review.
Google's Business Profile Help covers this under getting more reviews. The option only shows for owners and managers of a verified profile, and Google also offers a ready-made QR code there.
2. Check the link
The checker runs in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
No Business Profile link? Use your Place ID
Every place on Google Maps has a Place ID. Google's Place ID finder shows yours when you search for your business. Paste the ID above and the checker builds a search.google.com/local/writereview link from it. That format isn't officially documented by Google, so test it, and prefer the Business Profile link when you can get it.
Using the link the right way
- Ask everyone. Send the link to every customer, not just the ones you think were happy. Google's policy forbids "selectively" asking for positive reviews.
- No rewards. Google bans discounts, freebies or prize draws in exchange for reviews, even for honest ones.
- Don't script the review. Asking people to mention a staff member or a product by name also breaks Google's rules.
- Not for Yelp. Yelp asks businesses not to request reviews at all, so this link is for Google (or Facebook and Trustpilot, which allow invitations).
Want every paying customer to get the link automatically, a few days after they buy? KudoAsk does that for free for up to 50 customers a month.
